View Full Version : Cascade Point on Vista x64?
I'm trying to install Cascade Point on 64-bit Vista and it doesn't seem to work. After installation I get a Windows pop-up proclaiming that "Windows requires a digitally signed driver" and a path to \system32\cascade.sys.
After restarting I get a pop-up from Cascade Point stating that "Cannot find the device driver CASCADE.SYS - Please reinstall Cascade Point".
This is with the cascadepoint64.exe installer from the JP Soft FTP server.
Any suggestions? Thanks

You need to download the 64-bit version of CascadePoint from our ftp site:
ftp://jpsoft.com/cascadepoint/cascadepoint64.exe

That's what I did. I'm getting the behavior described with the cascadepoint64.exe installer.

So since Vista 64 thinks the cascadepoint driver isn't signed, and unsigned drivers have been forbidden since August, do we know when a signed driver will come out?

I am still unable to install CascadePoint 2 for the same reason: Win x64 objects to the driver being unsigned. Will the product be updated to support Win x64?

I have exactly the same issue (unsigned driver) after installing the 64-bit version yesterday under Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Will a signed diver be forthcoming or is CP 2 unusable under 64-bit OS?

A 64-bit version of CascadePoint is currently in (private) beta. I hope to
have the public beta out by the end of the month.
