Backup Only to Remote

I didn't find any way to do this, but I want to be able to create a scheduled backup that only goes to the remote file system.

For example, I want to import new pictures from my digital camera to an Import directory. Then I want a backup of all these files onto an attached USB drive.

These files shouldn't actually change, but I do want to ensure there's multiple copies. But given their size, having a local duplicate copy is just a total waste of space.

Is there any way to accomplish this now?

No (short of doing the scheduled backup & then deleting the local copy).

That's what I did, but its a relatively unsatisfactory ongoing approach.:)

Can this be added as a feature request. Essentially a backup only to remote option for either specific files or files that aren't going to be versioned.

It's on the suggestion list for the next version.
