After reading the help file, I've tried setting DiffTool in cascadepoint.ini, but to no effect:

[Startup]
DiffTool="D:\Program Files\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe"

I put it in the [Startup] section - is this the intention?

For now, windiff.exe is loaded every time.

Not reproducible here -- are you sure you're updating the right
cascadepoint.ini?

I can reproduce it. WinXP SP3; I only have one CascadePoint.ini.

Thanks for that - I'd just looked in your directory in %ProgramFiles, not in my %USERPROFILE\Local Settings\Application Data\JPSoft\
directory.

Working fine now.

It's working for the OP after he put it in the correct .INI file --
where is your .INI located?

Yeah, for me too. <writing 100x on blackboard> I will not use FFIND without /A. I will not use FFIND without /A. I will not....

Which is how I got pulled over by a highway patrolman. "Don't you ever look at the speedometer?" the officer scolded. Before I knew it, the truth spilled from my mouth. I still have the same problem. I have modified all available cascadepont.ini files (3 on C:, including the one in %USERPROFILE\Local Settings\Application Data\JPSoft\ which is "c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Falch\Lokale Einstellungen\Anwendungsdaten\JPSoft\" in my german XP), set

[Startup]
...
DiffTool=c:\Programme\Develop\WinMerge\WinMergeU.e xe

in each one and restarted CascadePoint. Nonetheless, the menu entry "WinDiff" in eg. CascadePoint´s restore dialog context menu remains grayed out.

Any ideas ?
