    pdir /s

I'm seeing a change in behaviour of pdir from v16 to v23: It seems that "pdir /s w:\directory" no longer returns any content from subdirectories, whereas if I omit w:\directory and let it act on the current directory then it does return content from subdirectories. TCC 16.03.55 x64 Windows...

Did The Forums Go Back In Time?

Cloudflare has nothing to do with it, they are a caching proxy (with DDoS filtering and a few other goodies), they don't host the original content or database itself.

    DIFFER questions....

At a high level, the difference is that CRCs can be reversed (minus the data lost to the modulus function), so it's relatively trivial to determine what bytes to change and how to change them to create a file which matches a particular CRC. The SHA family is intentionally designed to make this...

    TCC-RT sendmail

I don't believe there is any particular reason you couldn't create your own interface to allow users to configure these settings. For some BTMs I distribute within my own environment, I set some environment variables to sane defaults, then read a local INI which may override certain settings...

    robocopy -- copy /w

Permissions was going to be my next question, although the default is just data, attributes and timestamps. Maybe /COPY:D just to see what it does?

    robocopy -- copy /w

Depending on the NAS, you might want to try either of /FFT or /DST. Even though the NAS probably doesn't use FAT, it may not store the same granularity as NTFS and this switch might help.

    Done Сreate screenshots

Yes, 100%. I had the same thought, I just hadn't had time to research a proper answer yet.

    Done Сreate screenshots

How would this be better or more useful than using the existing hot key in modern versions of Windows?

Editing in the root directory of windows 10

There isn't anything particularly special about the root directory, you just need administrative credentials. Since we're talking about TCMD/TCC here, start TCC elevated and you can then use any tools in TCC, or launch Notepad or whatever else. You can't right click and launch editors...

Clearing out the Windows Temp folder

It would probably work. I'd recommend not deleting files that were modified within in the last 24 hours though as some applications write files and expect them to be there a few minutes later. Installers, in particular, get cranky when you delete their temporary files before they're done. I do...

OT: Is this a Windows feature?

Yes, it's called "Shake" (formerly "Aero Shake"), and is talked about in a few places, Win Snap and Shake Or if you're as annoyed by it as I am, you can disable it: How to disable Aero Shake in Windows 8 (and beyond)

How to? Load Alias File on Startup

Use a TCSTART.BTM file to load your aliases?

    Sendmail, SSL and MS Servers

I can't see how to do that without crippling "SENDMAIL /?" or even just the raw "SENDMAIL" to bring up the dialog you're so fond of adding everywhere.

    Sendmail, SSL and MS Servers

How do I set that using OPTION? Or do I need to manually specify it on every send message sent, and if so, why?

    Sendmail, SSL and MS Servers

Rex, try setting "mail.hireahit.com" as your server, port 587, and SSL on, see if you get a successful connection or not. Obviously you won't authenticate and therefore can't send mail, that's irrelevant. Now try 25, note that on port 25, TCMD will connect in plain text, EHLO and use STARTTLS...
