Updating from TC 9 to TC 17 - TCTOOLBAR question

In TCMD 9, I have a startup .btm that sets up my aliases and configures the toolbar depending on the software installed. (I use it at work and at home.) The first toolbar command it does is *TCTOOLBAR 1,1,,IrfanView,,esc "@irfan" enter Where irfan is an alias ...

PROCESSMONITOR in 9.02.151 under Vista 64

I've been trying to use the PROCESSMONITOR command in 9.02.151 under Vista 64 and have been having no luck. I've tried both partial and full paths, FOREVER and counted. Here are the processes I am monitoring: ETConfig.exe ended (0/FOREVER) call "C:\bin\post_config.btm" ETConfig...

COMSPEC incompatibility - v9 is different than v7

Sorry I took a while to respond - it takes me half an hour to get to the point where I can reproduce it, and I just now had the time. I got thinking it wasn't reproducible, but it just happened again. I didn't find a .gpf file. Do you want the base64-encoded dump? -- T

COMSPEC incompatibility - v9 is different than v7

    Thanks. I made a small rcmd.btm: setlocal set comspec=%@search[cmd.exe] start /pgm %comspec %@if["%1." ne ".",/k,] %$ -- T

    Done Suggestions for v10

It's a revolutionary, new idea, but I'd like to get away from having to use a console window for my command processor. Since most of the code is in takecmd.dll, you could write a GUI front end and make the shell more of a Windows program. - It could use Crtl-C/X/V for copy/cut/paste like...

COMSPEC incompatibility - v9 is different than v7

(Quick question, what's the simplest way to get ComSpec set correctly launching cmd.exe from v9?) Using the command start cmd Take Command 7.01.370 produces a command shell with ComSpec=C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe Take Command 9.02.151 produces a command shell with...

    Post editing

You are reading the forum by email, aren't you? That brings up another point. I believe that an email only goes out for the original post, not for edits. -- T (Actually, that time I intentionally submitted a half written message so I could edit it and describe what I was seeing at the time.)

Problem with DELAY in RB_Utils in v9

If I download the RB_Utils pugin from jpsoft.com/plugins/RB_Utils.zip and load it, then I can issue this command: delay /b /f 20 which will break the delay on a keystroke and then flush the keyboard buffer. Unfortunately, if I terminate the delay with (Right-)Ctrl-C, it kills TCC. --...

    Post editing

When I am editing a post I've just made, it is confusing to see the large, colorful 'Edit' and 'Post Reply' buttons - which don't even make sense in this context - when the button I want to post my edit is the small, discrete 'Save' button. And what's the standard for posting screen captures...

    Done Suggestions for v10

For the delay command, add: /F(lush): Clear keystrokes buffer when delay ends as in the RB_Utils plugin. (Unfortunately, that plugin has a problem in v9.) -- T

My registered email address is through pobox.com, which is just an email redirector. I forward that address to my gmail account. At work, I'm reading directly in gmail. When I reply through gmail, I think the message is marked as being from "(timothy)@gmail.com on behalf of (timothy)@pobox.com"...
