Note that in V22, I recalled the commands from the global history. Upon recall, the second one looked OK; the unprintable was appended to it when I pressed Enter.

I ran into a similarly strange issue back in November (I think). After I rebooted my PC, the issue disappeared so I never reported it.

Reboot ... no help. Turning off ANSI fixes it.

Are you using the TCC internal ANSI or the external ANSI32.DLL?

Internal, I guess. I have "ANSI colors" checked it Option\Windows. ANSI32.DLL is not loaded by the TCC process.
