What's the difference between %@ASCII[] and %@UNICODE[] ? Under what circumstances would these two functions return different values for the same input string?

I think Charles is right, @alias has been enhanced to be an alias for @unicode. When I used @ascii and @unicode to report the character entered as alt-200, the lower left corner of double lines ╚, both reported 9562. Other few values I tried likewise.

I'm just curious.... Why do we have two functions to do the same thing? Were they different in the past?

Code and operation OK. Might comment in HELP. But I hope you mean by "Unicode-only" that internally that's how TCC operates, but UnicodeOutput=No remains a viable directive.
