DEL /Y prompts always ?

If I put in DEL /Y file.etc I have always to give an answer, because TCC asks ALWAYS:
>>D:\JPSoft\TCMD16 :del /Y "JP Inis und Starts.xls"
Löschen D:\JPSoft\TCMD16\JP Inis und Starts.xls (J/N/A/R)?
Is there an "hidden" configuration anywhere ?

Not reproducible here. What build are you using?

The most likely cause (as Charles said) is that you have an alias for DEL. Other possibilities are that you've disabled the internal DEL command, you have a PRE_EXEC alias that's preprocessing the line, or you've loaded a plugin that's replaced the internal DEL.

ARRRGGHHHH ! :banhappy: Yes it is an alias, and this one I have installed in the very early days of 4DOS (NDOS !!).
Many Thanks to You both for Your "valuable" hints
