Desktop Shortcut Hotkey question

TCC 11.00.44 Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] SP3

When I use TCC to change the filename of a shortcut on the desktop, its
hotkey no longer works, even if I perform a desktop "refresh". After logging
out and back in they hotkey works again. How can I force reassignment of the
hotkey to the new name of the shortcut file?
