DIR /A:=

Issuing the DIR /A:= from the command line produces the following dialog...
1722801036196.webp

Yet, there is no checkbox to select Edit Command Line.

If I access the Attributes dialog through the DIR dialog;
1722801235289.webp

...the selection(s) from the Attributes dialog do propogate back through to the DIR dialog.

Selecting Edit Command Line allows me to see the DIR command on the command line with my Attribute selections.
Code:
DIR /A:D

Since the help file states,
1722801394961.webp

...should the checkbox for Edit Command Line not also be on the Attributes dialog?

Joe

No, the "Edit command line" checkbox should not be on the Attributes dialog. The Attributes dialog (like the Ranges dialog) is not a command dialog, and isintended to be used from a command dialog to build part of the command line.

I don't know how an "Edit command line" option would even make sense or be useful for the Attributes dialog.
