I hope I'm not saying something stupid, but "transform" XDIR into a real file manager like Far or FCW? Maybe "integrate" FCW itself (which is tiny in size but has great potential) with TCMD? Thanks

This is TCC running in File Commander/W inside Windows Terminal.

Cannot use PgUp for history
Cannot use CtrlUp for directories
Cannot use Ctrl-F1 for context help

Can use Alt-F10 for directory tree
Can use Ctrl-F1 for directory listing

The shortcut keys in FCW override TCC alias shortcut keys.

No TCC File Descriptions are viewable in FCW.

Many positves, many negatives.

In the case of FCW, many keys are "intercepted" by Windows Terminal, it is not FCW's fault, they need to be redefined.

But imagine a similar program integrated in TCMD, updated as TCMD and maybe configurable as you want, integrated with Lua, Python and REXX!

The purpose of XDIR is to NOT be a real file manager. There's thousands of those out there; XDIR is intended as a directory navigation tool that has some file management capabilities.
