Improved Edit Control for Directory Popup

I submitted a feedback suggestion yesterday about improved operation of
the edit control for the directory history popup window, and today I
received notice that my votes were being returned to me because the
suggestion had already been implemented.

I want to lodge a protest: a company has no business responding that
promptly to user suggestions. That will give all other companies a bad
name. After all, most other companies don't even ask their users for
feedback, indeed don't even give them a way to provide feedback!

While I'm thinking about it: Would it be possible to make the Esc key do something in the edit control? De-focus the edit control, clear it, exit the dialog?

Implementing suggestions too quickly makes you look needy. Desperate.... ;-)

As I thought about it, sometimes one might want masking in the command
history popup to work the same way. For example, one might want to see
all commands in which a particular target file is an argument.

This time I'm not going to submit this as a suggestion until I first
find out if you've already implemented it as well!
