I was finally able to reliably recreate the issue I described in another post, where the cursor and recalled command lines were appearing within previously displayed output instead of at the command prompt.
Edit: *** further testing shows that this is unrelated to the dir /= popup issue. The red steps can be skipped and this problem still appears.
Hopefully this can be helpful to Rex for troubleshooting.
Hit the up arrow.
(First time recalls the CLS command)
Hit the up arrow again
(recalls prior commands but displays them in the previously displayed output)

- Open fresh TCMD window
- Dir *.exe <enter>
- dir /= <Enter>
- <Escape> (to close the command dialog)
- <Select TCC window>
- cls <Enter>
