LIST and F for find

Hi

Using TCC 9.02.154 on XP Prof SP3

I frequently find that when viewing a text file in LIST and I do F for Find, if text found is far off to the right at the end of a line, it is not visible.

TCC has not horizontally scrolled the file bringing the text into view.

Is this a feature or is there some configuration option for LIST I have overlooked?

Cheers

Vince Fatica's plugin 4CONSOLE.DLL does a very nice job for this purpose.
When "Scroll Lock" is ON, alt-left and alt-right perform horizontal
scrolling. Try it, you might like it! It is always loaded here...

But it won't **automatically** move the console window rectangle with respect to the console screen buffer so as to bring the found text into view. Since Rex does reposition the window vertically, I suspect it's be easy to also reposition it horizontally.

Thanks Steve, I might give that a go. Still, the text moving into view seems the right thing...

This is WAD.

If LIST were to scroll the line to bring text into view, it would mean
either eliminating the feature of highlighting all the matches on the
page, or displaying aa random indent for each line, rendering the page
unreadable.

If you want to see matches on long lines, use /W.
