'Loop' on closing TC

Dec

Using an evaluation version of TCMD -- latest build (as of today's date) running under Win XP SP2 -- and launched from a 4NT window (by typing "tcmd" at the prompt, in the directory containing tcmd.exe).

At the command prompt shown in the main TC window, I type the command exit.

The command prompt disappears. Dialog box appears, asking if I want to close TC. I decide I don't want to, and click NO.

The dialog disappears. Immediately it reappears, asking me the same question.

The dialog will appear and reappear ad infinitum -- until I finally click YES. This does not happen if I select File>Exit and then select NO when the prompt appears.

Expected behavior?

If it's expected behavior, I'd like to propose a change: if the answer is NO, the command prompt simply reappears and the 'exit' is cancelled.

The problem is that you have two conflicting options set -- "Close if no
Tabs Exist" and "Prompt on Close". So when you say "No", it checks to see
if any tabs exist and then tries to close again, which brings up the close
prompt again, ad infinitum.

You should pick one option or the other. I'll add a check for this in the
next build that will clear the "Close if no Tabs Exist" option if you have
"Prompt on Close" set and click "No".

Thanks. I figured I must have something mis-set...didn't know what.

Please forgive us Paleolithic 4NT users who are new to TC/TCC. It's hard getting old. :-)

If it makes you feel any better, TCC **is** 4NT (new name, more features).

What, feel any better about getting old? Sorry, no, 'bout nothing helps with that... :-)

I know it's 4NT, renamed and with more features. It's the substantial difference in the debugging environment that I'm having some trouble getting used to. Still not sure why some things aren't working (e.g., the toolbar items in the Watch window). I used that line-debugger extensively in 4NT. Kinda wish the option to use it were still available (I realize that isn't gonna happen).
