I use a junction in my JPsoft hierarchy to specify the directory of the current release, another to specify that of the current test version. The actual directory names are based on the respective versions. This technique, used since V8 or before, allows unchanged shortcut files as we progress from one version to another, all I need to change is the target of the junctions. I cannot seem to get the junction instead of its target into the shortcut file using MKSC. Is there a way to prevent canonicalization of the icon file entry?

Not at present. Wouldn't be too hard to add, though.

Would be nice to have. But not critical.

I presume you had been too busy during the holidays to enhance MKSC.

I haven't done any coding at all over the holidays; my wife gets Ideas.

I've added an option /NI to not canonicalize the icon filename. If you use this, it's up to you to ensure that the icon file is fully specified and actually exists.
