No simple way to tell new Alerts

There doesn't seem to be any visual and simple way to tell about new forum alerts since the last visit....

Yes I know that Rex; I just meant that before the recent forum upgrade, there was a icon (not sure it was an icon) next to the new alerts so one could easily tell the new alerts sicne the last forum visit...

I assume that the bell icon and the word 'Alerts' change color. No?

For me I see a red tag with a number in it over the bell icon. And unread forum posts show up in bold.

Scott is correct. If you have unread alerts, you'll see a red number over the "Alerts" text on the navigation bar.

I don't think it ever did that.

Yes it did prior to the most recent software upgrade......
