I have the following files placed as listed:

Code:
%LocalAppData%\JPSoft\TCMD.INI

%AppData%\Everything\Everything.db
%AppData%\Everything\Everything.ini

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\TakeCommand.19.0.key
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\Take Command x64 19.0\TCMD.INI
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\Take Command x64 19.0\TCMD32.INI
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\Take Command x64 19.0\updates\tcmdx64update.aiu

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 15.0.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 15.01.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 16.0.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 17.50.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 18.0.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 18.0.swidtag.1.back
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 19.0.swidtag

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\rregid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 16.0.swidtag
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\rregid.2002-09.com.jpsoft\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft_Take Command x64 17.0.swidtag

1. What are the files under
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\rregid.2002-09.com.jpsoft
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft

2) I just have the following installed
TCC 19.10.44 x64 Windows 7 [Version 6.1.7601]

3) Can any of the files mentioned under either of the folders in #1 be removed?

4) Are the files listed in the code block in the optimum location?

TIA....

regid.2002-09.com.jpsoft is an ISO 19770-2 software identification tag. If you're not a corporate IT department, you probably don't care. TCMD doesn't care if you delete swidtags, but it's probably one of the least important things you can find to do with your time.

TCMD.INI location / processing is documented in the help:

When starting Take Command or a Take Command Console (TCC) shell:
  • If there is an @d:\path\inifile option on the startup command line, Take Command will use the path and file name specified there.
  • Otherwise, the default .INI file name is used, and the search starts in the directory where the Take Command program file is stored. If the .INI file is not found, Take Command will look in the "%PROGRAMDATA%\JP Software\Take Command x64 18.0" directory, and finally in the %LOCALAPPDATA% directory.
If no .INI file is found, all options are set to their default values. A new .INI file will be created, using the default location and name, as explained above.

So then the following files can be removed?

%LocalAppData%\JPSoft\TCMD.INI

All the files matching [*.swidtag]

what is the difference btwn:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\Take Command x64 19.0\TCMD.INI
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\JP Software\Take Command x64 19.0\TCMD32.INI

I don't see TCMD32.ini in the CHM.....

TCMD32.INI is either a custom name you generated to pass to TCC with the @inifile parameter, or a really really old .INI file (as in TCMD v8 or thereabouts).

Yes I have TCMD products from 4DOS onwards.,.....

They can be, if you've got nothing better to do with your time ...

Well I do from time to time LOL....
