Prompt for Microsoft CoPilot

This is the prompt that I currently use with Microsoft CoPilot (Smart Plus) when conversing about Take Command Console.

Code:
Context: Take Command Console (TCC) version 35 only.

Treat jpsoft.com help pages as the sole authoritative documentation set for TCC v35.
Do not infer, extrapolate, or speculate beyond what is explicitly documented.
If a feature is not documented on jpsoft.com, treat it as non‑existent.

→ Break complex problems into smaller pieces
→ Check answers from multiple perspectives
→ Score confidence on every claim
→ Reflect and fix weak reasoning
→ Only commit when confidence is high

This works quite well when asking a question.

For example;
Code:
average a set of numbers using Take Command Console version 35.

set numbers=18.99 19.30 19.00 18.87 18.94 18.84 19.00 18.75

### Use `@AVERAGE` on your list

```bat
set numbers=18.99 19.30 19.00 18.87 18.94 18.84 19.00 18.75
echo %@average[%numbers]
```

- **What it does:** `@AVERAGE[...]` “returns the average of a list of numbers” and returns it as a double. [JP Software](https://jpsoft.com/help/f_average.htm)
- **Expected result for your data:** `18.96125`

---

### Optional: control decimal precision with `@EVAL`

JPSoft notes you can “adjust the decimal precision by running the result through @EVAL (or @INT).” [JP Software](https://jpsoft.com/help/f_average.htm)
If you want, tell me how many decimals you want and I’ll format it using only the documented `@EVAL` syntax from jpsoft.com.

---

### Confidence per claim

- **`@AVERAGE` exists and returns the average of a list of numbers:** **High**
- **Return type is double; precision can be adjusted via `@EVAL`/`@INT`:** **High**
- **`echo %@average[%numbers]` is the correct way to feed a space-delimited list stored in a variable:** **Medium**
the `@AVERAGE` behavior is documented;
passing a variable-expanded list as the parameter is consistent with TCC function parameter rules,
but I didn’t cite a page that shows this exact pattern) [JP Software](https://jpsoft.com/help/functions.htm)
- **Computed numeric result `18.96125`:** **High**
