Register TC13 for all users?

So what's the trick to register for all users?

I copied the installation from one computer to another (I have a multi-machine license) and ran tcc as admin on the new computer.

As expected, it came up in eval mode. I registered the software successfully using "option", exited and logged out. Then I logged in as a different user and ran tcc. It came up in eval mode.

What is the requirement for getting TC13 registered "for all users" on a given system? I want to setup & register once, after which it needs to be available to all users. Is there a switch to force TC13 to use HKLM instead of HKCU for registration info?

No - Microsoft doesn't allow access to HKLM anymore except for installers
and admin users with full privileges.

So why doesn't it work?

So: even if I register as an admin user with full privileges, there's no way to get it in HKLM so that it's shared? Or does TC13 require write access during registration checks during "regular" use?

| No; nobody's ever asked for that before. It would be possible (though a bit
| awkward) to implement it if there's enough interest. If you want it, add it

I would be interested!

Suggestion written up and submitted (and I don't think my proposal would result in awkwardness). Please feel free to add your vote to the thread.

It would add a lot of awkwardness to the code; though not necessarily to the
user interface.

Click on the Feedback tab and add the suggestion there. Threads in the
(obsolete) Suggestions forum are equated as == 1 (on a scale of 1 -
infinity).

Aha! I assumed that meant something else. (I guess I need to hang out here more often, but the product "just works" so often that I rarely need help!)

Headed there now....

Question: If Take Command is licensed for two users on the same machine, does that use up two licenses or only one?

(I just re-registered as a different user on my work machine, and now I'm wondering if maybe that wasn't so smart.)
