First a question. I got here by opening a new tab then dragging it to the position template. Is there a more direct way to get independent tabs side-by-side. Could I make it a startup configuration?
What's below is the result of switching tab focus with Alt+Left (or Right) repeatedly. Whenever I let the Alt key up I'd insert a character on the command line I was moving to. It's usually a space but, as below, sometimes some other character. I just realized that this has nothing to do with having two tabs visible at once.
