If you have multiple monitors, and drag a TCC tab out of one windows terminal window on one screen, towards the other....
and stop before you successfully dock
TCC turns all white.
the shell is still open, but the screen is no longer being updated. i know it's still working because i can still run audio commands.
Tried 6 shells. It only does this with TCC.
Filed a bug with WT. They said it's a TCC bug because it doesn't happen with any other shells.
@ClioCJS, how do you do that ... drag a shell out of WT? I tried a few obvious things and they didn't work. How do you do it and does it require any particular settings?
OK, I figured out how to do it ... can't be elevated and must have more than one tab. Anyway, I don't see anything untoward. Only the tab shows while I drag and regardless of where the pointer is when I release the mouse button, I get a new WT window with the dragged TCC in it.
However, the 4WT plugin gets confused when there are two CASCADIA_HOSTING_WINDOW_CLASS windows belonging to the same WT process and the one with TCC in it has changed. I don't know if there's anything I can do about that but I'll be thinking about it.
If you unload the 4WT plugin (plugin /u 4wt) before tearing off a tab do you still have the problem mentioned in post #1?
When I tear off here, the torn off TCC is running in a new instance of WT (and the same instance of OpenConsole). I'm pretty sure 4WT doesn't know about that. I don't know if the torn off TCC gets a new PseudoConsoleWindow. If it does, I'll have to try to get notification of it and do something about it.
I'm not sure.... I was doing a lot of things and one of the things was installing the preview version which fixed some things. Sorry for the vagueness!
