TCMD v.36: download page and integrated update check says that build 77 is current. However, a download is build 78.

Why is that?

Obviously, because the download page is not dynamically populated, but is a static page.

Might be easier to use a cron job that runs every 6 hours, checks the version number of the setup file, and modifies the downloads page. That way, the page is almost always current and manual intervention is not needed.

Ok, good hint, thank you.

PS: However, the in TCMD integrated update check should always find the lastet version ... unfortunately, this isn't the case currently.

Build 78 was a test build and not widely publicized.
Not widely publicized? Build 78 is not mentioned anywhere. The download page says Build 77, but if you actually download it, you get 78. It's not a problem, it seems to work just fine, but it causes a bit of confusion.
