    I'm using TCC V12 under XP SP3. I have a 111 megabyte zip file containing
    22 member files on my hard drive. When I try to unzip the entire file to a
    subdirectory of a flash memory stick formatted as FAT, the operation takes
    almost seven minutes! Doing the same thing with TCC V11 takes 34 seconds.
    If I unzip to a subdirectory of my hard drive rather than the memory stick,
    V12 takes a little over six seconds and V11 takes a little over eight. Is
    anyone else seeing results like this?

    I am still seeing this issue in build 25. Let me clarify a little. V12's
    unzip seems to be a bit faster than V11's when working on the hard drive.
    This is good, of course. I'm only unhappy with the speed of unzipping to a
    memory stick or other flash device which seems to be ten or eleven times
    slower than in V11. I have tried other zip files and other flash devices
    and gotten similar results.

    Nothing I can do about this -- UNZIP in v12 is using a different
    (third-party) library than v11. I already passed this on to the developers;
    if / when they come back with a response or fix I'll let you know.

    As a temporary work-around, I suggest using V11 for UNZIP when the target is
    the flash drive. You can even automate this based on such things as its
    label, so that V11 is automatically run as a transient for the specific
    task.
