The post on MajorGeeks does not mention the word Beta. That post says 30.00.8, and the link gets you 30.00.9, and the installer (and the resulting install) never mentions the word Beta.

I'm just an innocent bystander, reporting what I have seen.

That's a beta build. It will expire in a few weeks. I don't know who's uploading it to MajorGeeks, but they shouldn't.
