Back in 2018,
I purchased a license for V - The File Viewer,
as it could,
at that time,
do more for me than the V File Viewer that is included with TCC.
Previous to the XDIR command,
which is new starting with TCC v35,
I used the following alias to emulate what XDIR now does.
With TCC v35, I use;
...to do the same thing.
There are, however,
some short comings with the XDIR command,
versus V
For example,
XDIR does not allow drag-and-drop,
but V does allow drag-and-drop.
Important to note, though,
that XDIR is not meant to replace a file manger.
As Rex Conn has stated previously;
Passing this along for those who want XDIR to do more than it does,
and how the registered version of V - The File Viewer can do that.

As Rex Conn has stated previously;
The purpose of XDIR is to NOT be a real file manager.
There's thousands of those out there;
XDIR is intended as a directory navigation tool that has some file management capabilities.
Passing this along for those who want XDIR to do more than it does,
and how the registered version of V - The File Viewer can do that.
