I let cmd handle *.cmd and *.bat files and let TCC handle *.btm files.

Same problem with the LIST status bar at the top. I guessed that there is a ListStatBarColors setting that fixes this.

I put "SelectColors=black on bright white" in my tcmd.ini and removed SelectStatBarColors. Attached are what dir and select look like. For the latter, the highlight is on the line under Foo and above epsilon.ses.

Rex: I'm not sure what you are suggesting I do. Charles's suggestion works. "SelectStatBarColors=Bright White on Green" works and is a nice color combo.

That works for blue, but option //SelectStatBarColors=bri whi on black gives white on white. I could live with blue. How do you set it in the ini file?

Neither SelectColors" nor "SelectStatBarColors" is set in TCMD.INI. If I rename TCMD.INI, the text in the Take Command tab is gray on black and the SELECT highlight is black on gray.

I expect the documentation for products I buy to be complete and up to date. I don't want to have to consult another source. If the other source just has suggestions or examples, that's OK.

What does "deprecated" mean? 1) It won't be improved. 2) There are better options, so don't use it in new stuff. 3) It sometimes doesn't work, so stop using it. 4) It will be removed in a future version.

In TCMD, I wish there was a keystroke that would create a new tab and put the new tab in a new horizontal group.

Ctrl-Shift-Up does not work for me in a TCMD tab. I do have it set in Options > TCC > Keyboard > System > ParentDirectory.
