Is the bdebugger supposed to debug?

Is the bdebugger supposed to debug? There's nothing in the Help file about how to actually run it. There's a lot of verbiage about it, but nothing about how to use it. So, I executed "bdebugger /c" (sans quotes) from a tcc.exe window. The "IDE 11.0" window opened with a curser in the large...

    Need 'grep' equivalent

It turns out that ffind will do everything I want a virtual-grep to do. I passed it over before because the format of its "count" output was more complex than that of Windows' "find", and "find" had a straightforward "results" output. Also, I got "find" to work in a short time, while ffind...

    Need 'grep' equivalent

My thanks for all of the responses to my question about a TC equivalent to the UNIX "grep" command. The responses were enlightening and revealing. The suggestions included the TC "ffind" and "filefind", Windows "find" and "findstr", plus a plugin and a lot of talk about Regular Expressions...

What is the TC version of the UNIX “grep”. Right now I’m using the ‘The Berkeley Utilities V2.0’ ‘grep’ like this to test for a string...

    Implementing directives via file-manager

Your instructions for the 'assoc' and 'ftype' did the trick. I had to undo the association I'd made in the Control Panel, but then it worked fine. That also showed me how to implement the other 'TCC Startup Options' relative to the other Startup "options" which I will tackle another day...

    Implementing directives via file-manager

I'm using TC Version 11.0 on Windows XP, SP2. I’m familiar with 4DOS, but not Take Command. When I double-click a btm file from my file-manager (NOT in the TC Console), and the btm is something simple (maybe just "pause"), the tcc.exe window opens with the "Copyright" header displayed. Is...
