About attachments

I successfully attached a BTM file to a post in another thread using the web interface. When it arrived by email, the email said:

Attached to this message is agetodate.btm (http://jpsoft.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=1&d=1212634431)

The attachment was not actually in the email. Is that WAD?

Can attachments be received by email?

Can attachments be submitted by email?

WAD -- it would be a very bad thing to send all attachments to a few
thousand forum subscribers.
