Command Input window

The Command Input window has been part of TCMD for several versions.

However, I've never been able to figure out why I would want to use it.

I'd be interested in learning how others found this feature to be useful.

It would be interesting to see if the command input window could bridge a closer relationship between the GUI part of TC and a TCC tab. That was kind of the idea of my earlier post asking if Windows would allow that kind of behavior which I think would be pretty powerful. But it would also be interesting to hear what TC power users use it for currently.

It's necessary for some special input devices and Accessibility features.

If you're using TCC, it also has more editing capabilities, and things like
undo/redo. If you're using something else (like CMD or bash) it has
WAAAAYYY more editing capabilities, and brings things like tab completion
windows to programs other than TCC.

And some people also like to have all of their input grouped together and to
be able to scroll back & forth & re-execute specific lines without popping
up additional windows.

Best of all, it's optional, so if you don't want to use it you can make it
go away! :-)
