Command line text selection via keyboard not showing with highlighted background

Hello

Take Command 36.00.27 is not highlighting text selections made with the Shift and arrow keys when editing command lines. The selection is still being made and can be copied or deleted, it's just the highlighting that is not working.

This only happens with the new ConPTY based windows; the original type of console windows still display the selection as normal.

Please can you take a look at some point? Thank you!

Chris

Hello Rex!

That sorted it - thank you!

I had not changed the colours, but when I went into the Options dialogue to take a look, I noticed that the default ConPTY colours were the same for both selected and normal text.

On a separate but related note, the cursor flickers and jumps at random times when using Conhost windows, and the Col/Row indicator in the status bar periodically seems to briefly show really large numbers every second or so. This issue doesn't happen with ConPTY windows.

I am able to replicate this issue where selecting text on the command line using the keyboard does not highlight the selected text.

I too had my ANSI colors in TCC options set to default on default for selected.

If I select with the mouse the selected text is highlighted in the inverse of the colors the text was originally displayed with.

This is all in a ConPTY session.

Is this WAD, or should selecting with the keyboard inverse the colors like selecting with the mouse does?

Selection colors in TCMD ConPTY sessions use the colors defined in the Take Command configuration dialog.

As reported in another thread, I tried setting the selection colors for ConPTY sessions in Take Command tabs, and I saw no change in the color of the text selected using cursor keys. Just now I tried some other colors, still with no effect at all.

Working perfectly in my testing!!!

Now highlights selected text when I use the mouse or the keyboard to select in both ConPTY and Conhost sessions.

Also, when typing after highlighting text at the command line, the highlighted text is being replaced as expected.

Thanks Rex!
