I view the forum by email, and see no duplicates.

When I reply via email, as I'm doing now, I expect to see my own reply
twice. I have for ages. I rarely use the forum and almost exclusively read
JPSoft posts by email.

Ah. I have been misinterpreting what I saw. When I reply, I see my own
reply, and then the forum mails me my reply, as I have specified in the
Messaging & Notification section of the User CP.

So, I don't see duplicates. I was mistaken before.

I suspect the reason you see your own posts (originals and replies) twice is that in your mail client you selected to "save messages I send" and they are automatically moved into the proper folder. I, too, save messages I send, but do not move them into the specific folders (e.g., "TC Plugins"), instead, I delete them when they are reflected back from the forum after they had been actually posted.

You've probably set your User CP options to auto subscribe to the threads, as well as requesting email notification. (These options are not intended to be used together -- you'll end up with duplicates.)
