Explorer.exe stops responding when you
use certain shell extensions

If you have a Windows Explorer shell extension that is developed by the
Microsoft Foundation Class library (MFC) and hosted in Windows Explorer,
you may find that the Explorer.exe process stops responding (hangs) when
you open Windows Explorer. This applies to both Vista and Windows 7. Luckily,
there is a hotfix for the issue. Find out more here:

Vince - you wrote an Explorer extension a while back that
did a "4NT Prompt Here" kind of operation. I thought you
might be interested in this article.

It doesn't (i.e., I don't) use MCF. I'm the only one using it and
I've never tried it on anything but XP. ... any volunteers?

It's only advantage over JPSoft's Shell\verb method is that it appears
on the context menu for "FolderBackground" (which includes the desktop
itself .... I find that useful).
