SELECT color in ConPTY tab

How do you set the color for the row the cursor is on in SELECT in a ConPTY tab? I have my ConPTY colors set to black on white. The row the cursor is on is white on white, which makes it unreadable.

I tried the Selected and Cursor Line colors in Options > Take Command > Tabs > ConPTY Tabs, but they didn't seem to have any effect.

TCC 36.00.33 x64 Windows 11 [Version 10.0.26200.8246]
 
I have all zeroes in TCMD's options and in the INI file. I get what seems to be the defaluts, a shade of white on a shade of black. I don't have a clue how it actually works.

Do some of these settings affect the cursor row in SELECT?
 
There is no way to specify the SELECT selection color. It uses the inverse of the current default attribute, which it gets by reading the console buffer at the current cursor position.

The key here is that SELECT is going to use the TCC colors, not the ConPTY colors. So if you change your TCC output colors in OPTION to black on white, you should see that in your TCMD tab window.
 
Shouldn't it invert both the foreground and background, e.g., swap them? Or, at least check the background and make sure the new foreground isn't almost the same?

SELECT is going to use the TCC output colors, not the TCMD ConPTY colors. So if you change your TCC output colors in OPTION to black on white, you should see that in your TCMD tab window.
 
I had Options > TCC > Windows > Colors > Output set to black on white. I had Options > Take Command > Tabs > Conhost Tabs > Colors set to black on white. I just set Options > TCC > Windows > Colors > Selected to white on black. I just set Options > Take Command > Tabs > Conhost Tabs > Selected to white on black. But, SELECT is still using white on white.
 
The "Selected" option refers to text that has been marked for clipboard operations (cut / copy / delete / paste), so it is not relevant for this issue.

Did you restart TCMD after setting the color options? I set my ConPTY FG & BG colors to black on white, and my TCC output colors to black on white (with ANSI colors enabled), and SELECT shows a white background / black foreground, with the selection bar inverse'd to white on black.
 
Checking "ANSI colors" fixed it. Does that check box enable the color settings in the Colors box? I don't think that is obvious. I thought the check box just enabled some additional functionality. I had "Directory colors" set, and I think it was working despite the check box not being checked.
 
I have Directory colors set to

dirs .and. hidden:green;dirs:magenta;bat btm com exe:cyan;hidden system:gray

With ANSI colors unchecked, directories are magenta on white. With it checked, they are magenta on black. I changed it to

dirs .and. hidden:green;dirs:magenta on white;bat btm com exe:cyan;hidden system:gray

Now they are magenta on gray. This is all in a Take Command tab. What should I be doing, please?
