Tabbed Toolbar Failure in Version 36

All of my toolbar buttons that send keystrokes to the current tab now fail. The code for creating the toolbar is the same as in TCMD35.

Is the current tab a ConPTY tab or the old-style tab?

And exactly how are you sending keystrokes?

Yes, I turned ConPTY back on in build 17. When it was on in previous builds, something strange was happening at the end of the TCSTART command sequence.

Now something else weird is happening. I cannot turn the option off. I uncheck the box, save the change, close TCMD. Then I reopen TCMD and the box is checked again.

I'm not sure what I finally did, but the option is finally off. Now the toolbar works.

By the way, the command OPTION ConPTY produces an error message: Unknown option name "ConPTY". But it is there in the INI file (and finally says NO). Similarly, the command option //ConPTY=yes produces the error message: Error in command-line directive "ConPTY=yes". It looks as though the option command needs some additional code.

FWIW, TCMD does honor //ConPty=Yes|No on its command line. I use this alias.

tc36=d:\tc36\tcmd.exe //ConPty=%1

By the way, the command OPTION ConPTY produces an error message:

OPTION is a TCC command. It doesn't know about TCMD options. Knowing what's in the INI file wouldn't do much for you anyway since you can have a miixture of ConPTY and non-ConPTY tabs. For any instance of TCC,

echo %@winapi[user32,GetClassName,%@winapi[kernel32,GetConsoleWindow],buffer,100]

will give either PseudoConsoleWindow (ConPTY) or ConsoleWindowClass (not ConPTY).

Thanks, Vince. I had not appreciated that OPTION applied only to the TCC configurations. That makes sense.

I created another desktop icon for launching TCMD with ConPTY set to Yes. Here is what I see when the prompt appears after TCSTART has finished.

It looks as though the last command string (minus the first character, overwritten by the >) is being left after the prompt. It is just junk on the screen, and one can enter commands as if it were not there. But that's not all. The command line is not displaying properly. The "Insert" key toggles the input mode, but the cursor does not change; it is always the "insert" cursor. The command option cursorover reports cursorover=100.

There seem to be a number of oddities with ConPTY.
