TCC.exe ignores double quotes

I am seeing a strange thing when using TCC.exe: it completely ignores double quotes (") when I type them, which prevents me from specifying a filename with spaces on it.
I don't know when it started to happen.
This is only happening in TCC.exe, if I use TCMD.exe, the TCC tabs behave correctly.
The TCC.exe version installed is TCC 36.51.78 x64.
Am I doing something wrong?

TCC running in a TCMD tab and TCC running in Windows Terminal or a stand-alone console should behave identically, unless you're using different configuration options in the different environments.

First, check that you are using the same TCMD.INI file. Do an "echo %_ininame" from the TCC prompt.

Second, check if you're using the same TCSTART file (or not using one for both).

Third, check to see if you're running plugins in one environment that are not in the other.
