TCMD.exe not closing properly

I have a situation where TCMD.exe is not closing, as the task is still in Task Manager. After the improper closing, TCC.exe will not load when you open TCMD.exe.

In Task Manager, I see Apps Take Command. And under Background processes, I see PowerShell7, Python, and TCC. When I close the application, Take Command moves under Background Processes. PowerShell 7, and Python stay, but TCC.exe goes away. When I end the task on Take Command, PowerShell7, and Python go away.

Setup:
Tab1 C:\Program Files\JPSoft\TCMD36\tcc.exe (Run in ConPTY)
Tab2: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.PowerShell_7.6.0.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\pwsh.exe
Tab3: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
Tab4: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python313\python.exe

How are you closing TCMD?

Are CMD, PowerShell, and Python being run in ConPTY or hidden console sessions?

Take Command won't close until all the tab windows close. It looks like PowerShell and/or Python are not closing when requested by TCMD. If you start TCMD with those same 4 windows and close PowerShell and Python first, and then close TCMD, does it shut down as expected?

I am closing using the "X" in the right corner. ConPTY is only set on TCC.exe. So, I tested closing each tab, starting with closing PowerShell. PowerShell closed, but TCMD still did not close completely. I then tried CMD and Python. After each, the TCMD was still hanging in background processes. I then tried to close the TCC tab, and now the TCMD app is frozen. The TCC.exe is not running in the background processes as it closed properly, but TCMD is stuck in "Not Responding" under apps. The stack for the TCMD.exe is below:

I found the exact issue and can replicate success and failure.

When ConPTY is selected by itself no problems exist. When you select the Options|Take Command|Advanced "Pseudoconsoles (ConPTY) checkbox" it causes the issue. Even if you input a folder. After I unchecked the checkbox all is great.

Also unchecking ConPTY on tab 1, and leaving "Pseudoconsoles (ConPTY) checkbox" enabled causes the issue.

1. Open tcmd with a tcc tab.
2. Go to tcmd options advanced and make sure conpty is checked. This doesn't happen in hidden consoles just conpty.
3. Choose ok.
4. Type exit at the prompt.
5. Tcc and tcmd both close correctly.
6. Run tcmd again which should give you one tcc conpty tab. (Note I did this elevated and forgot to try it unelevated).
7. Run sndvol at the prompt and the Windows volume control should open.
8. Go back to the prompt and type exit. For me tcc goes away, but tcmd is still in task manager and it doesn't close until I close sndvol.
I would expect this to work since sndvol is a gui app.
