What's with IP blocking on the site yet again?

The JP Software website has been experiencing unusually heavy attacks in the last couple of weeks, mostly from Russia and China (though yesterday Iran joined in). Unusually heavy as on the order of 60K+ attacks per day, mostly of the DOS / DDOS variety. CloudFlare is handling most of it (and autoblocking some regions), though I've also had to do some blocking to keep the site alive.
