It still can't pin the icon to the task bar

I don't mind that it doesn't pin to the task bar (actually it would annoy me if installers did that automatically). But it does annoy me that I have to unpin/repin after every upgrade. Not sure why but I haven't seen that with other software I update frequently.

Check what is pinned. I've had to edit the Target of the shortcuts. The installer seems to point them at something odd (I can't remember what, since I've fixed it.)

The target of mine is the TCMD executable:

"C:\Program Files\JPSoft\TCMD15x64\tcmd.exe"

That doesn't change when installing newer builds. Strange...
