Error Foreground Colour setting not working

I tried using the option to have error appear in a different colour. However, the option does not stick or do anything. When I open the OPTION dialogue again, they are all back to Default. Why could this be happening?

I have set options for directory colours, which work fine (and they work on files too).

You're probably not setting both the foreground & background error colors. (if you only set one, it won't be saved.)
