You are probably aware that in Vista and Windows 7, CMD.EXE will display the alternate streams associated with a file if you use the /R switch.
It's been very handy that TCMD has had that capability for a loooong time (with the /: switch).
It is probably a pain since /R is already defined as something in TCMD, but for compatability with CMD.EXE you might move the alternate stream switch from /: to /R, or (eek!?) swap them...
