News Take Command / TCC / CMDebug / TCC-RT v31.01.15 Released

Version 31.01.15 has been uploaded to the JP Software web site. It features experimental (not-quite-completed) French and German language versions of the Take Command help file. Because the Take Command help is so extensive (>1,400 topics), manual translation has always been too expensive to justify. But with the recent rapid advances in machine translation, we decided to give it another try. Using DeepL, we translated most of the English help file into both French and German versions before we maxed out our monthly DeepL plan. The new help files are included in the 31.01 build (uploaded today 2023/11/15). TakeCommand_fr.ewriter TakeCommand_de.ewriter You can try them out by running them stand-alone. Or if you want to incorporate the one of your choice into TCMD or TCC, copy it over the default English version (TakeCommand.ewriter). For example: rem Save the original English version copy TakeCommand.ewriter TakeCommand_en.ewriter copy TakeCommand_de.ewriter TakeCommand.ewriter We will be updating both the French and German versions shortly as we complete the translations and get feedback from users.

I have problem with the option | Updates command. It always causes this error:

What could be the cause for this? I certainly do not run Windows in Safe Mode.

This is a Windows Installer issue (i.e. Microsoft), not TCC or TCMD.
