Well,
I'm pretty sure that I have done this before,
but I cannot remember exactly how to do it.
TMP9 contains several rows of text;
Code:
TMP9:
1963-04-20
1968-04-20
1974-04-20
1985-04-20
1991-04-20
1996-04-20
2002-04-20
2013-04-20
2019-04-20
2024-04-20
Code:
E:\Utils>type tmp9: | sort /r
2024-04-20
2019-04-20
2013-04-20
2002-04-20
1996-04-20
1991-04-20
1985-04-20
1974-04-20
1968-04-20
1963-04-20
No problem so far.
Next,
open TMP9: in TCEdit,
make changes,
then Save to STDOUT;
Next, Exit TCEdit.
Both of these methods;
Code:
E:\Utils>tcedit tmp9: | sort /r
or
Code:
E:\Utils>type tmp9: | tcedit | sort /r
...produce no results to the console.
What exactly am I missing?
(NOTE: I'm just using Sort as an example command to demonstrate my problem.]
