Take Command deletes the next letter when I insert a missing letter ?

Dear Experts

Every time when I try to use Take Command it deletes the next letter when I insert a missing letter ?

what i used to do I press on "Insert" keyboard button, but I have to do that every time I open Take Command

Still experiencing same issue although I had chosen "insert" and I tried others
still the next letter gets deleted

I just played with this a little. In a stand-alone TCC console, Option\CommandLine\EditMode ... Insert\Overstrike ... Apply\OK ... the new setting is applied immediately. If I do the same in a TCMD-tabbed TCC, the change is not applied to the current tabbed TCC instance (WAD?) but is in effect for newly-created tabs and when TCMD is restarted. So it might help to make the "Insert" setting and restart TCMD.
