Searching TCC Help by phrase

Using the Take Command built-in help program, "TCC Help", how can I search for a phrase or a term with an embedded space?

For example, I want to search for the term "back quote" (embedded space), but entering "back*quote" does not find all the hits.

Is there a trick or an option to embedding an actual space in a search term?

Does not work correctly it seems:

for example: a try with "variable?functions" finds nothing - but it should of course. Even ""variable*functions" doesn't works. "variable functions" finds also single words ...

I think that you are searching using "Quick Search"

Try searching with the Keyword Index;

This gives you more search options than "Quick Search".

Note that I am using "Instant Search" "First Word".

Hmm ... ty, but it doesn't find the same things as Quick Search, also not with Full Text Search ...

Try with "variable functions" in quick search and compare. I couldn't find the same things with Index Search, regardless which options I had enabled ...

Here's what I found using Quick Search;

Thank you very much for the screenshots, Joe ... I had before not the time to upload, sorry!

It's so or so interesting!

Still the same behaviour in v32 build 13 ...

"variable?functions" does NOT work (finds nothing).

And "variable functions" finds different things in "Quick Search" and "Index Search".
