1. currently error foreground: red

error appears red

2. TCmd menu / Options / Configure TCC ... / Windows tab / Error foreground - select purple / OK

error appears red !!!!

3. cmd> option / (same window as 2.) / change Error foreground from red (!!) to purple / OK

error appears purple

4. click TCmd close (red X) button
==> no response (see previous thread)

5. 2. TCmd menu / Options / Configure TCC ...
==> nothing appears

6. try to type in regular tcmd tab window (any of the tabs)
==> nothing

7. kill TCMD

How does it compare with the behavior of previous versions?

BTW, remember - updating TCMD.INI using the OPTION dialog in TCC or the "Configure TCC" pull-down menu in TCMD does not affect any currently active instance of TCC (the .INI file is processed only when TCC starts).

Steps 1-3 were performed without starting a new instance. (In both cases the new value is written to the ini file).
It is interesting that they behave differently.

What is more serious is the behaviour described in steps 4-6 (really a separate issue).

WAD, and unrelated to v13; it's behaved this way since v9.

Changing the TCC options from TCMD cannot affect current TCC instances, only
future ones. (See the help for Take Command Window / Options.)

Still not reproducible here.

I still can't reproduce this, but there's only two lines of code that
changed in the TCMD shutdown between v12 and v13. I reverted that change
and posted a test build to ftp://jpsoft.com/beta/tcmd.exe . Try installing
that build and let me know if you still have a shutdown problem.
