I've uploaded a (sorta) new plugin, mksc. This comprises the MKSC command and @SCINFO function from my existing UIStuff plugin, with many updates and new features. Basically, MKSC does all those little things you wish SHORTCUT did, without the annoying syntax.

New features include support for many of the console properties stored in shortcut files; ‘Darwin’ ID strings; and C-style character escapes. I've also found and fixed one nasty bug which could crash TCC.

Please report bugs, doc errors, typos, etc. in this forum. Any further fixes or improvements which I make to MKSC will eventually be rolled back into UIStuff.

Can the output of MKSC be used to create the same shortcut?

I'm not really sure what you're asking here. Output is not in the form of a batch file. But if you want to use information from one shortcut to create another, the @SCINFO function is probably a lot cleaner than parsing MKSC's output.
