The forum email notification option has been updated to send an email on every reply (previously email notifications were only sent if you had read the previous messages).

Note that this means you'll receive a significant number of additional messages if you're watching a forum.

I am not sure that was the previous behavior, I know there were posts that were not delivered (technically, "of which I have not been notified by email").
