Internet proxy problem

TCC 9,02.149 Windows XP [Version 5,1,2600]

We use proxy-server here at work that has previously worked well with TCC as long as its host name was configured in "Internet" settings for TCC.

A few days ago it stopped working though, now every "type http://...." command fails with the "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." error.

I later noticed that the cause was that the port changed from 80 to 8080, or it might be that port 80 is no longer supported but only 8080 is used.

So I got the lynx and links text-based browsers to start working again by changing the port from 80 to 8080.

No such luck with TCC though, still fails. And when I checked the the used port with TcpView it seems TCC is *still* using port 80. Might it be that the port setting in "Internet" options is not used?

Try it with v10 (build 35 or later) and let me know if it's working for you.
